This role exists to define and steward a cohesive architectural vision that enables scalable, secure, resilient, and compliant platforms, while accelerating the transition toward a simplified, cloud-native technology landscape.\nBy leading modernization and transformation initiatives, the Director ensures that the bank’s technology portfolio evolves to support business agility, operational efficiency, and innovation at scale. This includes driving distributed architectures, application modernization, platform rationalization, and cloud migration strategies that unlock long-term value.\nThis role is designed for a strategic leader with deep experience in financial services or digital-native banking environments-someone who can influence across executive and technical domains, and who brings a bold perspective on how technology can elevate the bank’s international ambitions.\nAccountabilities\nArchitectural Strategy: Define and lead the design of technology solutions across the application portfolio within the assigned macro domain, enabling business transformation and legacy modernization.\nPortfolio Classification & Simplification: Own the classification of APMs into functional domains, driving simplification and rationalization to align with the target architecture.\nCurrency & Compliance: Oversee remediation plans to keep systems current, secure, and compliant with enterprise and regulatory standards.\nCloud-Ready Architecture: Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cloud-efficient, aligned with enterprise patterns and policies.\nTechnology Roadmap: Lead the domain’s Specialization This role includes a dedicated specialization in data architecture, with an expectation to be highly proficient in the Global reference architecture.\noAct as a senior leader for data architecture adoption across domains, ensuring consistent implementation of its principles and patterns.\noEstablish standardized data ingestion and metadata management frameworks, including integration patterns (APIs, streaming, CDC), schema management, and data quality controls.\noGovern the transformation of raw data into curated, standardized, and reusable data assets through scalable processing engines and federated domain workspaces.\noDefine and operationalize data products, ensuring clear ownership, contracts, SLAs, secure data sharing, and bi-directional data exchange across domains.\noImplement cross-cutting governance frameworks including metadata, lineage, cataloging, lifecycle management, trust scoring, and policy enforcement to ensure data reliability and compliance.\noDrive data platform operations including DataOps, data profiling, FinOps for data usage, and access control mechanisms to ensure efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.\noLead the adoption of modern data platform capabilities (batch, streaming, real-time processing) leveraging cloud-native services aligned with Global architecture principles.\noEnsure strong alignment with foundational services such as orchestration, IAM, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and audit logging to support secure and resilient data platforms.\noEnsure data architectures comply with regulatory, privacy, and cross-border data requirements across all jurisdictions\noCollaborate with application, API, and platform teams to embed architecture principles into microservices, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.\nJob Requirements:\nProfessional Experience:\no10+ years of experience in technology architecture, including 5+ years within financial services or digital-native banks.\noProven expertise in designing and implementing banking and cloud architectures across different cloud providers (Google, AWS, Azure).\noDemonstrated success leading large-scale migrations from on premises to modern cloud environments.\nCertifications:\noDatabricks Platform Architect are highly valued.\noAzure Data Engineer Associate\noGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.\noAdditional certifications in AWS or Azure are highly valued.\noCertifications in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) considered an asset.\nTechnical Skills:\nArchitecture & Design\noStrong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate, etc. and how to apply them pragmatically in large organizations.\noAbility to design and evaluate scalable, secure, and modular systems, aligned with cloud-native and distributed principles.\noExpertise in Microservices and API Design based on REST, GraphQL, event-driven architecture patterns.\noExperience defining target architectures, roadmaps, and reference implementation across large portfolios.\nCloud & Infrastructure\noBroad understanding of cloud native architectures, hybrid and multi-cloud environments, and migration strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.\noKnowledge about infrastructure automation, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines to enable scalability and operational excellence.\noCapable to collaborating with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment on cloud strategy, automation and resilience.\nIntegration & Data\noExpertise in integration patterns, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), API gateways, etc.\noSolid understanding of data architecture, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, big data analytics and data governance.\nSecurity & Compliance\noAbility to design architectures that comply with global financial regulations and data residency requirements.\noFamiliar
