You will collaborate with business, operations, technology, and vendor partners to identify, resolve, and prevent data issues while contributing to the ongoing evolution of Scotia Global Asset Management’s (SGAM) enterprise investment data capabilities.\nIs this role right for you? In this role you will:\nDeliver and maintain accurate, complete, and timely investment data within the Investment Data Hub by proactively monitoring, investigating, and resolving data quality issues.\nPerform data analysis, reconciliations, and exception management across key investment data domains.\nExecute and enhance data quality controls to ensure investment data meets established business and governance standards.\nAnalyze root causes of recurring data issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions.\nProvide first-line support for investment data and reporting inquiries, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.\nMonitor daily operational processes and data flows to identify and address production issues.\nWork closely with business stakeholders to understand investment data requirements and translate them into effective solutions.\nSupport the delivery of new data sourcing, reporting, and data management capabilities across the organization.\nSupport testing activities, including user acceptance testing, release validation, and regression testing.\nCreate and maintain business rules, data definitions, process documentation, and operational procedures.\nContribute to the development and implementation of investment data governance frameworks, standards, policies, and procedures.\nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:\nA Bachelor’s degree, with a technology or business focus, or equivalent education and experience \nExperience working with investment data, financial markets, or data management functions within asset management, wealth management, or financial services\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL\nExperience with core investment data domains, including securities, pricing, benchmarks, positions, corporate actions, or reference data\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact effectively across business and technology teams\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence\nThe ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment\nExperience with Gresham Opus EDM, S&P Global Enterprise Data Management (EDM), or comparable data management platforms is preferred\nWorking knowledge of Bloomberg, S&P, or other market data providers is preferred\nLocation(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto\nScotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
