Through effective use of DevOps technology, they ensure the success of Scotiabank’s software initiatives worldwide.\nThe Role\nAs a Developer, Cloud Engineering working in the DevOps team in Toronto, you’ll be responsible for collaborating across the bank with software developers and other specialists throughout the entire software lifecycle to bring flexible, automated, and efficient continuous integration and deployment into production. You will design and develop enterprise-wide CI/CD solutions in collaboration with our partners throughout the bank, providing a critical part of the software platform upon which the bank’s software teams deliver world-class software applications and financial products.\nIs this role right for you? In this role, you will: \nApply your knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Configuration as Code (CAC), and Policy as Code (PAC) to build enterprise-scale environments in which hundreds of software teams can build and deploy their applications\nApply your knowledge of Google Cloud (or other public clouds), especially in conjunction with the use of Continuous Deployment (CD) tooling, to deploy enterprise-scale applications\nApply your knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) tools to build an orchestrated enterprise workflow \nBe a problem solver with the ability to learn on-the-go \nBe a tireless advocate of agile practices and software craftsmanship \nShare what you know - and even coach and mentor \nWork closely with a team of smart, passionate people to solve problems creatively\nDevote a significant part of your workday to innovation \nBe interested in the impact FinTech innovations can have on the world \nBecome conversant in the stringent regulatory requirements of modern digital banking and have a strong desire to design and implement software in support of those requirements \nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? OPA Policies written in Rego)\nExperience with Release Automation\nExperience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) automation\nExperience and comfort providing Level 3 support\nExperience with Software Version Control with Git \nExperience with semantic versioning \nExperience with software package hosting (e.g., GitHub Packages, Artifactory, yarn, npm) \nExperience with application security tooling (e.g., Snyk, WebInspect, CheckMarx, BlackDuck, SonarQube) and logging and monitoring tooling (e.g., Splunk, Balabit, Dynatrace) \nExperience with software supply-chain security (SBOMs, SCA, and code-signing) \nExperience with public clouds (e.g., GCP, Azure, Amazon) \nExperience designing, implementing, managing, fine-tuning, and maintaining enterprise-scale Google Cloud network clusters with Kubernetes/GKE\nAlternatively, experience with ArgoCD (including Argo Rollouts and Argo Workflows) and with building clusters on other cloud technologies\nExperience with secrets management (esp. with HashiCorp Vault) \nExperience with CI Tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) \nExperience with build systems (e.g., Gradle, Maven, make) \nExperience with CD Tools (e.g., ArgoCD, HelmCharts, Kubernetes) \nExperience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., Docker, podman, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes) \nExperience with Linux system administration at the command-line, especially Bash scripting \nExperience with automating tasks in scripting languages useful in CD (e.g., Bash, Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go, Groovy, Java) \nExperience with networking, network policies (esp.
