In this role, you will:\nEnable Retail Deposits through innovative solutions that are sustainable, flexible, reliable, and scalable to continually meet the growing global footprint.\nBuild strong relationships with business partners, technology partners, stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and their teams, to facilitate collaboration.\nLead and drive a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen business partner’s relationships and knowledge.\nResponsible for owning the Retail Deposits Technology strategies and roadmaps\nTake a strategic focus aligned to business priorities and bring innovative thinking to strategic problems\nLead the implementation of transformative technology initiatives to enable Canadian Banking’s success through increased efficiency, reduced cost, faster time to market\nIdentify and prioritize opportunities to leverage platform capabilities effectively, deliver future proof technology solutions and take a leading role in initiatives to drive innovation and digital transformation throughout the Bank.\nManage and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects/programs involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank, as well as external vendors when required\nProvide finance with the data to support and maintenance budgets and business cases.\nLead the solution of risks and issues that have a broad impact on projects, systems, and teams (e.g. software currency, vulnerabilities)\nOwns production issue analysis and performs root cause analysis for production issues and implementation issues.\nUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.\nCreates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.\nBuilds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.\nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
