This will be done by drivinga dedicated backlog with partners in these areas,as well as with Operations and Engineering.\nLeveraging your ability to organize and motivate individuals and teams that don’t report to you, you will closely work with the Vendors, other Product Managers, Bank Stakeholders, Software Developers, and Designers to translate the customer journey directives into actionable backlog deliverables.\nThe Product Manager, Credit Origination & Adjudication will advocate for clients and platform users (Relationship Managers, Risk Managers, etc.) by defining the UX and continuously engaging SMEs and stakeholders to ensure the team is building the right solutions.\nYou will follow the backlog through to completion while ensuring all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.\nIs this role right for you? In this role you will:\nChampion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.\n\nDrive the maintenance and execution of a backlog with partners across Canadian Banking, including Commercial Banking, Business Banking, adjudication, policy, Engineering, and Operations.\n\nLead discovery to understand customer needs, pain points, industry trends and best practices. Review both qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities to add to the backlog.\n\nBe involved in customer interviews/user testing to define customer pain points and test ideas, features, and designs.\n\nWrite detailed user stories, participate in sprint planning, and review activities. Engage day-to-day with the scrum teams, clarifying questions and helping with decision making.\n\nWork closely with design, engineering, and business partners to come up with solutions to problem areas.\n\nWork with analytics to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales funnel performance, application starts, completions and conversions.\n\nEstablish a close relationship with the business stakeholders to ensure their requirements are translated into the right products and journeys. Manage expectations with effective communication.\n\nLead/support presentation of progress, demos, and backlog prioritization to key executive stakeholders and steering committees.\n\nUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.\n\nActively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.\n\nChampion a high-performance and inclusive work environment.\n\nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:\n4+ years Experience in either: Financial Services, such as Commercial Banking, Customer Relationship Management, Adjudication, Fulfillment, or; Building digital products, particularly nCino/Salesforce.\n\nAn expert in identifying and solving ambiguous problems to drive customer and business value.\n\nExcellent organizational, technical, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.\n\nCurious and experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty.\n\nYour verbal, written and visual communication skills are exceptional, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization.\n\nPrevious nCino or Salesforce experience.\n\nManaged a technology product or a digital journey end-to-end, from inception to delivery.\n\nKnowledgeable about multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Management Consulting, Agile/Scrum, Engineering, UX/UI Design, Sales and Marketing, Finance.\n\nEngineering, Computer Science or Business degrees.\n\nLocation(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto\nScotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
