In this role, you will:\nAdminister and support: Redis (standalone, clustered, enterprise, cloud), PostgreSQL (on-premise and GCP CloudSQL), MongoDB (on-premise and MongoDB Atlas) \nDeploy, configure, and maintain database environments across hybrid (cloud + on-premise) platforms \nPerform installations, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of database platforms \nDeploy and manage Redis environments supporting real-time and high-performance applications \nTroubleshoot Redis-related issues and support application teams in resolving database bottlenecks \nEnsure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of Redis clusters \nManage and operate GCP CloudSQL PostgreSQL instances, including provisioning and lifecycle management \nSupport cloud adoption initiatives and migration from on-premise databases to GCP \nMaintain consistency and reliability across hybrid database environments \nExperience deploying databases “on public cloud and on-premise servers” \nDesign and implement PostgreSQL clusters with replication and high availability setups \nPerform performance tuning, query optimization, and database capacity planning \nManage PostgreSQL upgrades, patching, and migrations across environments \nIndependently manage MongoDB installations in Linux and cloud (GCP/Atlas) environments \nImplement replica sets and sharded clusters across multi-data center deployments \nEnsure security, backup/recovery, and compliance standards are met \nMonitor database performance across all platforms and environments \nConduct capacity planning and forecasting to support business growth \nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks \nPerformance tuning, capacity planning and monitoring \nDesign and maintain HA architectures (replication, clustering, failover mechanisms) \nImplement and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes \nEnsure compliance with RTO/RPO requirements \nDR/HA support with backup, recovery and failover/failback \nProvide DBA support for development and implementation projects \nSupport database setup, migration, testing, and production go-live activities \nCollaborate with application teams to improve database performance and design \nAutomate routine DBA activities using scripting (Python, Shell, etc.) \nImprove monitoring, alerting, and operational efficiency \nContribute to continuous improvement of database platform standards \nEnsure adherence to Bank security policies and database standards \nImplement access controls, encryption, and audit mechanisms \nFollow change management and operational governance processes \nSupport hundreds of database instances across multiple platforms (Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) \nOperate in a multi-region environment (Canada / LATAM / Cloud) \nWork as part of a distributed DBA team across regions \nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
