You will contribute across the engineering lifecycle, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, release management, production reliability and site reliability engineering practices.\nThis is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to work at the intersection of cloud identity, security engineering, automation and platform reliability in a complex, regulated enterprise environment\nIs this role right for you? In this role, you will:\nDevOps Engineering & Automation\nDesign, build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for Microsoft Entra ID and Workforce Authentication services.\nAutomate platform configuration, deployment, validation and release activities to improve engineering efficiency and consistency.\nDevelop reusable deployment patterns and automation to support repeatable, controlled releases across environments.\nDrive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and configuration-as-code practices, including Terraform where appropriate.\nRelease & Environment Management\nSupport end-to-end release activities across development, test and production environments.\nImplement deployment controls, automated testing, validation, rollback and release practices appropriate for security-critical platforms.\nPartner with engineering teams to improve deployment reliability and reduce manual operational activities.\nMaintain clear release documentation, operational procedures and evidence required for controlled changes.\nSite Reliability Engineering\nHelp define and mature SRE practices for Workforce Authentication platforms.\nBuild monitoring, alerting, observability and operational automation to proactively identify service health issues.\nParticipate in incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem management and reliability improvements.\nDevelop automation and operational tooling that improve resiliency and reduce repetitive operational work.\nIdentity Platform Engineering\nWork closely with IAM engineers to automate and operate Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory capabilities.\nSupport secure engineering and deployment patterns for enterprise authentication services.\nApply security-by-design principles across CI/CD, infrastructure automation, secrets handling and platform operations.\nContribute to engineering standards, technical documentation and continuous improvement\nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:\nStrong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.\nHands-on experience designing and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI or equivalent technologies.\nExperience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.\nExperience implementing Infrastructure as Code; Terraform knowledge is a strong asset.\nExperience with production release management, monitoring, observability, incident response and SRE practices.\nStrong understanding of secure software delivery and DevSecOps principles.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex platform and deployment issues across application, infrastructure, identity and cloud environments.\nExperience with enterprise Identity and Access Management or authentication technologies is a strong asset, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA, Conditional Access or passwordless authentication.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across engineering, security, architecture and operations teams.\nComfort operating in a fast-moving environment supporting business-critical security platforms\nWhat's in it for you?\nDiversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
