Reporting to the Director, Data Product Management, this role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of data products. The Senior Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, technology partners, and data stewards to define, develop, and deliver high-quality data products that drive business value and align with GWM's data strategy. This role is pivotal in fostering an insights-driven culture and ensuring that data is leveraged as a strategic asset across the organization.\nIs this role right for you? In this role you will:\nManage the entire data product lifecycle from ideation, through development and testing, to launch, and iteration.\nContribute to the data product roadmap, prioritize features, and define product requirements based on business needs and user feedback.\nChampion data governance and ensure data products adhere to all policies, standards, and quality metrics.\nWork with Data Stewards to define and document metadata, data lineage, and quality controls for data products.\nDevelop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data products, including usage, quality, and business value.\nCollaborate with business lines, technology teams, and the Chief Data Office (CDO) to ensure alignment on data strategies, standards, and governance.\nAct as a key liaison between technical teams and business users to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.\nFoster cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient data access and management.\nIdentify new opportunities to create business value through the development of innovative data products.\nSupport the strategic, use-case-based approach to growing data product capabilities and maturing GWM's data practice.\nDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:\nAn Undergraduate degree in technology, commerce, or a related field\nStrong knowledge of industry standards, trends in data products, data quality, data storage and distribution solutions, data governance, and product ownership\nExcellent negotiation skills when communicating with business and technical stakeholders and aligning needs, capabilities, and technology\nProven experience managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for data-intensive products\nStrong knowledge of the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry is highly preferred\nStrong understanding of financial markets data, including securities, equities, fixed income, investment products, and financial instruments, along with their key attributes, classifications, identifiers, and relationships\nExperience with data management tools and query languages (e.g., SQL, Python)\nFamiliarity with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)\nKnowledge of modern data platforms and cloud environments (e.g., GCP, Azure, Databricks) is an asset\nExcellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills\nStrong ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences\nCreative, self-starting, and results-oriented with a strong ability to solve complex problems\nProven ability to balance strategic vision with practical, hands-on execution\nLocation(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto\nScotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
