You will implement jobs, as per Runbooks, and automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil. You are expected to lead and perform Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and engage teams to perform technical validation. As well, perform and participate in technical vulnerability assessments, and make recommendations for remediation and overall enhancements.\nIs this role right for you? We'd love to work with you if you have:\nYou possess good communication (verbal/written) skills in English. \nYou have 3+ years of hands-on working experience in working with Real Time streaming data projects in operations.\nYou have 7+ years of hands-on technical working experience with production support and in-depth troubleshooting of major incidents and problem management.\nYou have 2+ years of technical working experience in the use of Apache Kafka for event management. \nYou have 3+ years of technical working experience in the use of Splunk and/or Dynatrace for monitoring and alerts. \nYou have 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with software build and CI/CD deployment pipelines by using 1 of the following tools(Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, Bitbucket).\nYou can demonstrate the ability to read Java code to troubleshoot & debug.\nYou can demonstrate a strong technical understanding of RESTful Services.\nYou can create SQL Queries with any relational databases.\nYou possess technical knowledge of microservices in Cloud (GCP and/or Azure).\nYou can write scripts using any type of UNIX shell scripting language + with Python.\nYou can demonstrate having good organizational skills.\nYou have completed a post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics discipline.\nCompletion of a Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka is an asset. \nWhat's in it for you?\nDiversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
