This is an opportunity to drive continuous improvement, maximise equipment reliability and make a real impact on the performance of our site.\nKey responsibilities:\nLead the Mechanical Engineering team to deliver a safe, efficient and responsive maintenance service.\nMonitor plant reliability, identify issues and drive continuous improvement to minimise downtime and costs.\nDevelop and manage inspection regimes to improve reliability and ensure regulatory compliance.\nLead the training, development and performance of the Mechanical Engineering team.\nManage mechanical engineering projects, installations and contractors, ensuring high engineering and safety standards.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nA recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification, such as an apprenticeship, City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent, ideally supported by an HNC.\nAt least three years’ management experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a process plant environment.\nStrong technical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting mechanical drawings and managing plant reliability issues.\nExperience managing contractors, safe systems of work, engineering projects and relevant regulatory requirements.\nProven leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and balance maintenance needs with production demands.\nDesirable experience:\nExperience working on a COMAH site, with knowledge of PSSR, LOLER, CMMS and CompEx regulations.\nWhy join us?\nAt Scott Bader, we’re proud to be an employee-owned business where our colleagues share in our success and help shape the future of the company.
