We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, leveraging your development background to automate workflows, optimize deployment processes, and enhance system reliability.\nThese are hands-on, client-facing roles, with openings at senior or lead level to suit your experience. You may be leading teams, setting technical direction, advising clients or solving tough engineering challenges. Our clients include large global corporations and government departments, and you’ll be working on systems that make a difference to millions of people, within a company that is friendly, welcoming, and where individual contributions always make a difference.\nIt is expected for the Engineer to spend at least 2 days per week in the local Scott Logic office.\nWhat are we looking for?\nYou have built and deployed applications in Rust, Java, C# or JavaScript.\nYou've got experience designing, implementing and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.\nYou are comfortable automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes.\nYou are able to collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and troubleshoot pipeline issues.\nYou can support development teams to migrate their builds onto this new pipeline.\nYou’re a problem-solver, pragmatically exploring options and finding effective solutions. \nYou have strong communication skills and take a collaborative approach to your work.\nYou have an interest in good practices around security, reliability, observability, cost efficiency, performance and governance - collaborating with others to ensure these are in place.\nFor lead roles, you have good technical leadership experience, understanding what makes a team successful and how to support colleagues in their own career development.\nYou can work on the support rota to support tickets related to this pipeline\nWhat you'll get in return is:\n25 days’ annual leave, rising incrementally to 30 days after six years of service.\nGenerous family leave policies.\nAccess to an employer pension scheme and Group Life Assurance.\nA range of optional benefits such as discounted gym membership and a cycle-to-work scheme.\nA meaningful approach to evaluating your performance and providing feedback on your progress.\nAt Scott Logic, we value the flexibility of remote working alongside the value gained from spending time with our colleagues and clients.
