shifts\nJob Description:\nDuties/Responsibilities\nProvide direct, quality patient care by utilizing critical thinking and evidence-based practice\nFoster positive patient/family experience in support of organizational efforts related to clinical-care delivery, customer service, and issue resolution\nFunction as role model for team and organization in terms of behavior, communication, and performance\nDevelop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team\nAssist with day-to-day operations, including assisting staff with timely patient throughput and acting as a resource to & providing support for team members\nAct as a liaison between departmental leadership and the team, keeping leadership apprised of concerns, feedback, suggestions, and educational needs\nActively participate in departmental and/or organization-wide committees or task forces by proposing, supporting, and/or leading process improvement and organizational changes in collaboration with leadership\nCollaborate with departmental leadership in reviewing policy to ensure policy aligns with best practices and regulatory changes\nEnsure departmental regulatory readiness by collaborating with departmental leadership\nPerform audits and collaborate with departmental leadership on action plans to meet goals\nManage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and oversee weekly payroll\nComplete yearly performance evaluations for direct reports\nAssist departmental leadership with interviewing and hiring process for new employees\nAssign preceptor to new hires and collaborate with departmental leadership and educator to develop training plan\nAll other duties as assigned by departmental leadership\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nAssociate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred\nCurrent Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners\n2 or more years nursing experience required\nPediatric experience preferred\nAmerican Heart Association BLS certification required\nPALS certification required or within 6 months of hire\nCompetent in Windows OS and use of Electronic Medical Record (EMR), EPIC experience preferred\nWorking Environment\nWorking Conditions: Inside\nWorking Position: Sitting, Standing, and
