This role is focused on building the foundation for deploying AI-enabled use cases across company operations.\nWhat you’ll do\nBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:\nContribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure data platform using modern infrastructure-as-code practices. \nPartner with software development and systems teams to build data integration solutions. \nDesign and build data models using tools such as Lucid, Talend, Erwin, and MySQL Workbench. \nContribute to and maintainenterprise data models within established architecture and governance standards, documenting relationships, dependencies, and data definitions. \nReview application data systems to ensure adherence to data governance policies. \nDesign and build ETL and ELT infrastructure, automation, and solutions using Python to transform data as required. \nDesign and implement business intelligence dashboards to visualize trends and forecasts. \nDesign and implement data infrastructure components that support high availability, reliability, scalability, and performance. \nDesign, train, and deploy machine learning models. \nImplement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues. \nCollaborate with security teams to ensure the data platform meets industry standards and compliance requirements. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and business partners, to ensure robust and reliable systems. \nLocation & Travel Expectations:\nThis role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC. \nThis role requires 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. \nApplicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.\nWhat you’ll bring \nWe expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring: \nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. \n4+years of hands-on experience as a DataOpsEngineer in a manufacturing or automotive environment. \nExperience with streaming and event-based architectures. \nProficiency in building data pipelines using Python and SQL. \nExperience with AWS data services such as Glue, Kinesis, and Firehose, or comparable services. \nExperience with structured, unstructured, and time-series databases. \nSolid understanding of cloud data storage solutions such as RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, and InfluxDB. \nExperience implementing data lakehouse solutions using Databricks. \nSeveral years of experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. \nExperience with infrastructure as code using Terraform. \nProven ability to develop and deploy scalable machine learning models, including hands-on experience designing, training, and deploying models. \nStrong ability to extract actionable insights and use machine learning algorithms for forecasting and decision-making. \nExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
