For this role, you must have demonstrable expertise with Ruby on Rails.\nWhat You Will Do\nThis is a hands-on technical role, day to day activities include:\nPropose solutions as a technology specialist in a small product team to maximize user experience and business outcomes.\nDeliver working web-based software using the Ruby on Rails framework.\nWhat We Can Expect from You\nEnglish language proficiency.\nHold a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of recent commercial programming with a strong emphasis on delivering Web solutions and Ruby on Rails.\nExpert understanding of Ruby on Rails, and the Ruby programming language.\nExperience with Turbo Frame and Turbo Stream.\nExperience using the Stimulus JavaScript framework.\nDeep knowledge of various web technologies, including how to design and build websites and web-based applications.\nExpert understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript, HTML, CSS, etc.\nExperience with AWS Services (we use many different AWS Services).\nExperience with Containerization (we use Docker).\nStatus of residence:For those in Japan: must have a working visa valid for more than six months.\nFor those outside of Japan: remote contract work is available until a visa can be prepared.\n\nBonus Points\nJapanese language proficiency (strongly preferred).\nExperience working with UX Designers & exposure to tools such as Figma.\nUnderstanding of CRDT using tools like Yjs.\nExperience using real-time communication technologies like ActionCable and WebSocket.\nUnderstanding/experience with VoIP-related technologies.\nExperience developing view components in Ruby on Rails using the ViewComponent library.\nUnderstanding of OIDC and experience building OIDC Providers using tools like Doorkeeper.\nUnderstanding of generative AI and experience using APIs such as OpenAI ChatGPT.\nWhat You Can Expect from Us\n¥9.0 -
