The Junior Software Engineer will help design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Scrapingdog's web data infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing object-oriented designs, fixing bugs, and contributing to performance and reliability improvements. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers on new features, reviewing code, and participating in technical discussions and documentation. The Junior Software Engineer will also assist in integrating new data sources, enhancing existing tools, and ensuring stable, scalable systems that support a growing global user base.\n\nQualifications\n0-2 years of experience, with strong Node.js.\nSolid fundamentals: HTTP, headers, cookies, sessions, REST APIs\nComfortable with Chrome DevTools and reading network requests\nHands-on scraping experience, even from personal projects (Puppeteer, Playwright, Cheerio, BeautifulSoup, etc.)\nCuriosity and persistence.
