You will work closely with our Architect on cloud direction, while taking ownership of technical execution across infrastructure-as-code, observability, security, and operational excellence.\nYou will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, security, quality, and compliance stakeholders.\nKey responsibilities\nBuild and operate cloud infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, containers, and high-availability environments.\nDrive infrastructure-as-code adoption using Terraform or similar tooling.\nImprove reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and capacity planning.\nStrengthen cloud security, including access control, hardening, data residency, and compliance execution.\nTurn architectural, business, and regulatory requirements into scalable cloud solutions.\nLead cross-team cloud initiatives through technical expertise and hands-on execution.\nMentor engineers on cloud engineering, observability, security, and operational best practices.\nSupport compliance with our Quality Management System and applicable standards, including ISO 27001 and IEC 62304 where relevant.\nProactively use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve coding, infrastructure design, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational workflows, while identifying opportunities to make cloud engineering more efficient, reliable, and scalable.\nJob requirements\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or a comparable cloud platform.\nDeep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and distributed systems.\nExperience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling.\nProficiency in Python and/or Go.\nStrong knowledge of CI/CD, cloud security, secure software development, and operational reliability.\nA track record of solving complex scaling and infrastructure challenges.\nThe ability to influence across teams without formal authority.\nAn AI-native mindset, with demonstrated ability to use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, coding copilots, or similar technologies effectively and responsibly in day-to-day engineering work.\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience with regulated software, healthcare, or medical device products.\nFamiliarity with ISO 27001, IEC 62304, GDPR, data residency, or validated systems.\nExperience with multi-region architecture, disaster recovery, or cloud cost optimization.\nExperience supporting AI or machine learning workloads in production.\nExperience in healthcare or medical devices is a plus, not a requirement.
