Join us in our mission to transform how people do work.\nAbout the role\nAs aBackend Engineer on Data Ingestion, you’ll work on the systems that bring captured activity into Scribe: receiving, batching, storing and handing it on to the AI pipeline, at the scale of hundreds of thousands of users and growing. The work is backend and infrastructure: throughput, reliability and cost.\nWhat you'll do\nBuild projects from design to launch, on established products and new ones.\n\nCollaborate with PMs, designers and other engineers to execute the build and how.\n\nContribute to technical discussions, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture.\n\nUphold strong engineering practices: code review, test coverage and observability.\n\nBuild and operate high-throughput backend services and the queues and storage behind them.\n\nImprove the performance and reliability of services, database queries, endpoints and caching across critical workflows.\n\nTake part in the on-call rotation for the systems you build\n\nWhat we're looking for\n2+ years building experience building backend applications\n\nProduct-minded. You care about the user problem as much as the code\n\nComfortable with unclear problems and fast change\n\nStrong Python or Go experience, or experience in another backend language and willingness to work across Python and Go\n\nFamiliar with queues, object storage, and relational or time-series databases\n\nHas debugged a production problem from metrics and logs\n\nUser-centric, empathetic, and passionate about your work\n\nNice to have: AI/LLM product experience, startup experience\n\nWhy you'll love working here\nHard, open problems.
