You will lead on production support, drive automation and observability improvements, and act as a technical authority across the platform, mentoring less experienced engineers along the way.\nPreferred Tech Stack Expertise\nCloud Infrastructure: AWS (EKS, RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache, Kafka, IAM)\nSecure Hosting: Experience working with air-gapped or government-secure environments\nContainer & Cluster Management: Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Jenkins, Helm\nMonitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace\nSecrets & Identity Management: HashiCorp Vault, Keycloak\nCI/CD & DevOps Tooling: Jenkins, Git, ServiceNow, Trivy, Terraform\nStreaming & Messaging: Apache Kafka (including Kafka Replication)\nData Layers: PostgreSQL, Redis, RDLs\nAutomation: IaC, pipeline build automation, event relay tooling\nScripting: Bash, Python, Groovy, Lambda functions\nResponsibilities\nOwn and continuously evolve the AWS and secure on-premise environments, ensuring high availability and resilience.\nLead Level 3 (L3) production support and non-production environment maintenance, including 24/7 on-call support, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents.\nEnsure all services are compliant with security standards and drive adherence to the change and release governance model.\nDesign, build, and maintain core infrastructure components: event streaming (Kafka), databases (Aurora, RDS, Redis), identity management (Keycloak), and caching layers.\nEnhance and maintain CI/CD tooling and self-service developer pipelines for tenant teams, identifying opportunities for platform-wide improvement.\nProactively manage and resolve technical debt, working with central governance bodies and providing visibility to the board.\nDrive increased automation, observability, and testing coverage across platform components, enabling data-driven decision-making.\nAlign delivery with the product roadmap, collaborating with internal/external platform and infrastructure teams to support scalable, resilient services.\nSupport critical national infrastructure tasks, including platform deployments, incident/problem/change management, and continual service improvement (ITIL-aligned).\nUse and integrate ServiceNow (or its successor) to track and manage changes, incidents, requests, and problem records.\nSupport replication services, match engines, and secure data flows (Impex, Threat, Kafka replication).\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.\nExperience\n5-8 years of experience in a DevOps/Platform Engineering role, ideally within a regulated, secure, or government environment.\nDemonstrated ability to independently lead technical initiatives and take ownership of complex platform components.\n SC Clearance Required\nDiversity & Inclusion\nAt Scrumconnect Consulting, we believe that diversity drives innovation.
