The service is already deployed at scale and is now entering the next phase of operational maturity.\nThe current focus is to stabilise the live service, strengthen engineering resilience, and extend capabilities including transcription from uploaded audio files, anonymisation/redaction, and AI-driven summarisation.\nThe programme also acts as a testbed for evolving AI engineering practices, helping to establish reusable patterns for future AI-enabled products and services.\nTo support this phase, the team is seeking two experienced AI Engineers for an initial six-month engagement.\nRole Focus\nThe AI Engineer will focus on AI capability development and production maturity, helping to improve reliability, scalability, and engineering practices across the service.\nYou will work closely with engineers, product teams, and delivery leads to expand core functionality while ensuring robust, secure, and well-governed AI workflows.\nKey Responsibilities\nAI Service Development\nSupport and enhance the live Transcribe service, focusing on AI components.\n\nDesign and implement transcription workflows for uploaded audio files.\n\nDevelop anonymisation and redaction capabilities aligned with publication requirements.\n\nAI Integration & Capabilities\nSupport the transcript summarisation proof of value (PoV).\n\nEnable reuse of existing summarisation capabilities through API-based integration.\n\nWork with internal API platforms to expose and consume AI capabilities.\n\nAI Engineering Practices\nStrengthen AI pipeline patterns including:\n\nExtract → Chunk → Prompt → Evaluate workflows\n\nIntegrate evaluation mechanisms and Responsible AI controls into AI features.\n\nContribute to the safe and structured use of AI coding assistants within the development lifecycle.\n\nDevSecOps & Operational Maturity\nImprove AI-specific CI/CD practices, testing frameworks, and deployment processes.\n\nEnhance observability, monitoring, and production readiness for AI services.\n\nSupport improvements in system resilience and operational stability.\n\nKnowledge Sharing & Engineering Resilience\nReduce single-point-of-failure risks by documenting systems and sharing knowledge.\n\nContribute to engineering standards, documentation, and operational playbooks.\n\nExpected Outcomes\nDuring the six-month engagement the team aims to deliver:\nStable and sustainable live support capability for the Transcribe platform.\n\nDelivery of audio file transcription capability.\n\nDelivery or controlled rollout of anonymisation/redaction features.\n\nClear integration pathway for transcript summarisation services via API.\n\nImproved deployment confidence and release cadence.\n\nReduced dependency on individual engineers through improved documentation and shared knowledge.\n\nStrengthened AI engineering practices and operational maturity across the service\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nCore Technical Skills\nStrong experience building AI-enabled applications in production environments.\n\nExperience with speech-to-text / transcription pipelines or similar AI workloads.\n\nHands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation workflows.\n\nExperience designing AI pipelines and data processing workflows.\n\nEngineering & DevOps\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.\n\nKnowledge of API integration and microservice architectures.\n\nExperience implementing observability and monitoring for AI systems.\n\nDiversity & Inclusion\nAt Scrumconnect Consulting, we are committed to building an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and everyone is empowered to succeed.
