You will investigate existing reports, datasets, and data processes, identify data quality issues and gaps, and define the KPIs, metrics, and specifications required to support effective MI and dashboard solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nWork closely with business stakeholders to understand and define MI, reporting, and analytical requirements, including the underlying business needs and desired outcomes.\nReview and investigate existing reports, dashboards, datasets, and data processes to understand current capabilities, limitations, and gaps.\nUse SQL and other analytical techniques to investigate data, identify discrepancies, trends, anomalies, and data quality issues.\nDefine and document KPIs, metrics, business definitions, calculation logic, rules, assumptions, and data requirements.\nInvestigate discrepancies between legacy systems, datasets, and reports, working with technical teams to identify root causes and agree appropriate resolutions.\nTranslate business and analytical needs into clear business requirements, technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and reporting/dashboard specifications.\nAssess data availability and identify whether required information is fully available, partially available, or missing, and define requirements to address data gaps.\nCollaborate with MI Developers, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Architects to refine requirements and validate analytical and reporting solutions.\nProduce high-quality documentation, including requirements, metric definitions, data mappings, investigation findings, data quality assessments, and recommendations.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nActive SC Clearance is mandatory for this role.\nProven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Business Analyst, MI Business Analyst, or similar role.\nStrong experience working with data, MI, reporting, or analytics teams.\nStrong SQL skills with experience in data investigation, analysis, and validation.\nExperience defining and documenting KPIs, metrics, business rules, and calculation logic.\nGood understanding of data structures, relationships, data lineage, and data quality.\nExperience analysing complex datasets and investigating data and reporting discrepancies.\nAbility to translate business requirements into clear technical and analytical requirements.\nExperience working within Agile delivery environments, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.\nAbility to explain complex data and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nExperience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or other enterprise data platforms.\nExperience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.\nKnowledge of enterprise data models, data governance, and data quality frameworks.\nExperience working within large-scale public sector or complex enterprise environments.\nDiversity & Inclusion\nAt Scrumconnect Consulting, we believe that diversity drives innovation and better outcomes.
