With a strong commitment to user-centred design and agile delivery, and more to deliver innovative digital services that matter.\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a Senior Performance Tester to deliver hands-on load and performance testing across large-scale digital services and backend applications, with experience of working with cloud-based distributed services.\nThis is a technical, delivery-focused role operating in structured and governed environments where performance, resilience, and scalability are critical to service success.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and execute load, stress, volume, soak, and scalability tests\n\nAnalyse performance results, logs, and system metrics to identify bottlenecks\n\nGather and Validate performance NFRs, volumetrics, and capacity assumptions\n\nPrepare and maintain performance test scripts and execution runbooks\n\nExecute tests in cloud-hosted (AWS) non-production environments\n\nRaise performance defects with clear technical evidence\n\nSupport CI/CD integration for performance testing where required\n\nContribute to test reports, defect triage, and test completion evidence\n\nWork closely with developers, architects, platform, and operations teams\n\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong experience in performance testing of enterprise systems\n\nHands-on delivery using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6 (or equivalent)\n\nSolid understanding of:\n\nAPIs, HTTP, databases, messaging, caching\n\nBackend and distributed system performance characteristics\n\nExperience analysing logs and monitoring data\n\nFamiliarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models\n\nExperience working in regulated or high-assurance environments\n\nDesirable\nExperience with APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace, AppDynamics,Elastic Search with Kibana/Grafana across digital services)\n\nPublic-sector or large programme delivery experience\n\nFamiliarity with GDS\n\nScope & Accountability\nResponsible for hands-on performance test design and execution\n\nOwns quality and accuracy of assigned test artefacts and results\n\nContributes analysis and recommendations but does not hold final assurance authority\n\nWorks under the direction of a Lead Performance Tester or Test Manager\n\nAccountable for timely delivery of agreed performance testing activities\n\nOur Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion\nAt Scrumconnect Consulting, we believe thatdiversity drives innovation.
