You will work in multidisciplinary agile teams, take part in technical design, and provide technical leadership by setting standards,\nreviewing work and supporting other engineers.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build and maintain Java and Spring Boot applications, including RESTful APIs.\nDevelop and evolve a micro services architecture, keeping services loosely coupled,\nscalable and resilient.\nWrite clean, maintainable and secure code, following agreed standards and best\npractice.\nWrite automated tests, including unit tests with JUnit, and practise test-driven\ndevelopment.\nTake part in technical design, and explain design options and trade-offs to developers,\narchitects and stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines so changes are tested and released reliably.\nDeploy and run services on AWS and Azure.\nReview code and designs, and give constructive feedback.\nProvide agile technical leadership: guide the team on technical decisions, mentor\ndevelopers and help unblock complex problems.\nInvestigate and fix defects, and support services in live.\nWhat We are Looking For\nEssential:\nStrong, hands-on experience of Java and Spring Boot.\nProven experience designing and building micro services.\nExperience writing unit and integration tests with JUnit.\nExperience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.\nExperience working with AWS and Azure.\nA strong focus on clean, maintainable and secure software.\nExperience contributing to technical design and leading technically within an agile team.\nStrong communication skills, with the confidence to work with technical and non-\ntechnical colleagues.\nDesirable:\nExperience delivering digital services to the GDS Service Standard.\nExperience in public sector or other regulated environments.\nDocker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (for example Terraform).\nCloud or Java certifications.\nExperience mentoring or coaching other engineers.\nWhy Join Scrumconnect Ltd?\n\nAt Scrumconnect, we are more than just a consultancy.
