Our teams work at the forefront of innovation, helping organisations transform and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that truly matter.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for an experienced Workday Technical AMS Lead - Financials to lead technical application support, integration management and enhancement delivery for Workday Financials clients.\nYou will take ownership of the technical Application Managed Services (AMS) function, ensuring integrations, reporting, security and related technical components operate reliably and efficiently. You will manage incidents and problems, deliver enhancements, maintain service levels and work closely with finance, IT and third-party stakeholders.\nThe ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Workday technical expertise with experience in AMS or post-go-live support, service management and technical team leadership.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical AMS & Service Delivery\nLead the technical AMS service for Workday clients, managing incidents, problems, service requests and enhancements.\nEnsure issues are investigated and resolved within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).\nIdentify recurring issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative improvements.\nManage change requests from requirements gathering through development, testing and deployment.\nMentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance to the AMS team.\nWorkday Integrations & Financial Systems\nBuild, support, monitor and enhance Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors and Web Services/APIs.\nMaintain Workday Financials interfaces with third-party finance, banking, procurement, planning and payroll systems.\nSupport integrations with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, NatWest Bankline, Workday Adaptive Planning, Atamis and IRIS.\nTroubleshoot integration failures, data errors, failed transactions and financial reconciliation issues.\nWork with third-party vendors and middleware teams to resolve integration issues.\nReporting, Analytics & Documents\nDevelop and maintain Workday Advanced, Matrix and Composite reports.\nSupport BIRT reports, document generation and PMD print layouts.\nMaintain Workday Prism Analytics data sources, datasets and pipelines.\nUse calculated fields and knowledge of the Workday Financial Data Model to support reporting and analytical requirements.\nSecurity & Authentication\nMaintain Workday domain and business process security configurations, including role-based access.\nSupport Single Sign-On (SSO) and troubleshoot authentication issues involving SAML and client identity providers.\nEnsure appropriate access controls and secure handling of financial and business data.\nRelease & Change Management\nAssess the impact of Workday's biannual releases on integrations, reports and security configurations.\nPlan and execute regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable.\nMaintain technical specifications, runbooks, knowledge articles and support documentation.\nWork with client finance and IT stakeholders to prioritise improvements and deliver changes effectively.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nMinimum 5 years of Workday technical experience across integrations, reporting and security.\nProven experience in Workday AMS, application support or post-go-live support, preferably in a lead or team-lead capacity.\nStrong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors and Workday Web Services/APIs.\nExperience with SOAP/REST APIs, XSLT, XML and JSON transformations.\nStrong Workday reporting knowledge, including Advanced, Matrix and Composite reports.\nExperience with BIRT reporting and PMD print layouts.\nGood understanding of Workday Financials, calculated fields and the Financial Data Model.\nExperience supporting Workday security, role-based access and SSO/SAML.\nExperience managing incidents, problem resolution, change requests and service delivery against SLAs.\nStrong troubleshooting skills covering integrations, data quality, reconciliation and production issues.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including engagement with finance and IT teams.\nAbility to mentor colleagues and act as a technical point of contact for clients.\nMust be eligible for UK SC Security Clearance.\nDesirable Skills & Experience\nExperience supporting public-sector, government or regulated-sector organisations.\nKnowledge of public-sector finance, including fund accounting and grants.\nExperience integrating Workday Financials with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, banking platforms, Adaptive Planning, procurement systems or payroll platforms.\nExperience with ServiceNow, Jira or similar IT service-management tools.\nFamiliarity with ITIL incident, problem and change-management practices.\nExperience assessing Workday release impacts and managing regression testing.\nExperience with Workday Prism Analytics.\nCertifications\nWorkday Integration Certification in Studio and/or Core Connectors - active or previously held.\nWorkday Financials Certification.\nWorkday Prism Analytics Certification.\nITIL Foundation or equivalent service-management certification.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe are looking for a technically strong, service-oriented professional who can take ownership of Workday Financials support, resolve complex integration issues, deliver enhancements and build trusted relationships with clients.
