The role leads complex initiatives within an agreed roadmap, advises stakeholders on solution options, risks and controls, and works across functions and countries to implement scalable and sustainable solutions. Success is measured through demonstrable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, control effectiveness, service quality and customer experience.\nWhich tasks can you expect?\nAct as a senior specialist and trusted advisor for smart automation, providing practical guidance on automation opportunities, solution design, standards and risk within the function.\n\nContribute to the development and continuous improvement of the functional automation roadmap and portfolio by assessing business value, customer impact, complexity, risk, scalability and alignment with agreed priorities.\n\nLead complex automation and process-transformation initiatives from assessment through implementation, including requirements definition, solution design, development coordination, testing, deployment, adoption and benefits tracking.\n\nAnalyse and redesign end-to-end payroll, reporting and implementation processes to remove inefficiencies, strengthen controls and improve the customer and employee experience, rather than simply automating existing tasks.\n\nDesign and deliver robust automation solutions, including VBA and Excel-based tools, and recommend appropriate use of scalable technologies such as Power Automate, RPA, APIs and AI-enabled automation.\n\nApply and help improve automation governance, architecture principles, development standards and quality controls covering documentation, testing, security, data protection, change management, access, resilience and ongoing maintenance.\n\nExercise professional judgement and autonomy within the assigned area, evaluating solution options, resolving complex technical and operational issues, and escalating material risks, dependencies or investment decisions when appropriate.\n\nPartner with payroll specialists, implementation teams and other stakeholders to define efficient customer implementation approaches, including data migration, custom reporting, process controls and automation requirements.\n\nInfluence stakeholders across teams and countries, translate complex business needs into sustainable solutions, and build alignment on requirements, design choices, risks, resources and delivery outcomes.\n\nIdentify high-value automation opportunities and dependencies and provide evidence-based recommendations on prioritisation, sequencing, standardisation, improvement or retirement of solutions.\n\nMaintain the integrity, sustainability and scalability of assigned automation solutions, ensuring that tools remain controlled, supported, documented and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.\n\nDefine and monitor performance indicators for assigned initiatives and report realised business impact, including improvements in accuracy, efficiency, capacity, control effectiveness, risk reduction, customer experience and service quality.\n\nCoach automation specialists, payroll experts and business users, sharing knowledge and promoting consistent automation practices across the organisation.\n\nMonitor relevant technology, regulatory, security and market developments, assess their implications and recommend practical improvements for the function and its customers.\n\nParticipate in cross-functional automation forums and contribute specialist expertise to broader transformation, digitalisation and continuous-improvement initiatives.\n\nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by your manager as needed\nOur Expectations:\nThinking and Acting Outside In\nAbility to see the impact of upcoming changes within their field of expertise and proactively adapt their way of working or gives advice to the team.\n\nHave an eye on new information and apply this information to your own job and make it available to a broader network.\n\nOpen & critical minded to question and optimize the use of knowledge, systems, products, and digital solutions in the expertise area.\n\nAgility\nAbility to solve weaknesses/complaints in service delivery and to introduce proposals for improvements.\n\nAbility to deliver comprehensive answers to internal and external customers' current and future needs by being proactive and customer specific. Seeks to enhance customer satisfaction and delight.\n\nBuild expertise through continuous development and through connecting with other experts.\n\nConnecting\nAbility to develop productive networks within the division and within the customer service/project team and be recognized as a reliable expert, be a coach for colleagues.\n\nAbility to step forward in your own network and show leadership attitude and professional and trustworthy image at customer contacts, conferences and internal meetings.\n\nAbility to coach customers and/or colleagues across their networks.\n\nWhat do you have to offer?\nDegree or equivalent professional qualification in information technology, computer science, engineering, business process management, payroll, finance or a related discipline.\n\nSignificant relevant experience in automation, digital transformation, process improvement or solution consulting, including delivery of complex initiatives in an international or multi-stakeholder environment.\n\nStrong expertise in automation design and delivery, including advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA and practical understanding of scalable technologies such as Power Automate, RPA, APIs and AI-enabled automation.\n\nProven ability to assess automation opportunities and contribute to roadmaps and portfolio priorities based on business value, customer impact, complexity, risk, scalability and organisational objectives.\n\nStrong understanding of end-to-end process analysis and redesign, with the ability to challenge established practices, translate complex requirements into sustainable solutions and coordinate delivery through to adoption and benefits tracking.\n\nDemonstrated experience applying and improving governance, development standards and quality controls covering documentation, testing, security, data protection, access, change management, resilience and lifecycle maintenance.\n\nSound professional judgement and the ability to work autonomously within an agreed scope, resolve complex technical and operational issues, manage competing priorities and escalate material risks appropriately.\n\nStrong stakeholder management, consulting and influencing skills, with proven ability to build alignment across functions, teams and countries without relying on formal authority.\n\nAbility to define performance indicators and demonstrate measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, capacity, control effectiveness, risk reduction, service quality and customer experience.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nProven ability to coach colleagues and business users, share specialist knowledge and promote effective, consistent automation practices.\n\nFluency in English; additional languages relevant to the supported countries or customer environment are an advantage.\n\nWhat do we have to offer?\nLeaves: the types of leave granted from day 1 (annual leave, study leave, maternity/paternity leave, wedding leave, compassionate leave).
