Get an insight! \n\nYour responsibilities\nExcellent research needs state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and innovative digital services. With a team of about 50 experts, we will redesign the institute's digital landscape over the next few years and implement an ambitious digital transformation programme to facilitate the Institute's rapid growth. As part of our IT & Digital Transformation strategy, we are migrating parts of our Windows-based infrastructure to the cloud and introducing Microsoft 365. \n As part of our core IT infrastructure team, you will have a leading role in designing, implementing, and operating our Windows-based systems. Your responsibilities in our fast-changing environment include: \n\nDesigning, planning, implementing, maintaining, and operating Windows-based systems \n\nConfiguring and maintaining services such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and MS SQL Server \n\nPlanning, implementing, and optimising server automation, e.g., for updates and configuration management \n\nImplementing security features and hardening measures, aligned with our CISO and the cybersecurity team \n\nProviding 2nd and 3rd-level support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents \n\nDocumenting the system architecture, configuration of the servers and applications as well as providing end-user documentation \n\nYour profile\n\nSeveral years of experience as Windows system administrator, ideally with servers on-premises, Azure-based workloads, and Microsoft 365 \n\nProfound knowledge of Windows server operating systems and Active Directory \n\nExperience with configuring and operating Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 \n\nExperience with VMware, container technologies, and orchestration is a plus \n\nKnowledge of typical network technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, and switching \n\nExperience with automation tools and scripting languages like PowerShell \n\nGeneral knowledge of state-of-the-art server architecture, operating models, and security features \n\nUsed to work with IT service management and IT security frameworks (ITIL, ISO 27001, …) \n\nWorking language is English, good working knowledge in German is an advantage \n\nApply now \n\nYour benefits\n\nEducation & training \n\nCafeteria \n\nChildcare \n\nFree shuttle bus \n\nMultiple health offers \n\nPension insurance \n\n⁎ This position comes with possible overpayment depending on education, qualification and work experience.
