We are a diverse workforce of 40,000 creative, hard-working, passionate people all over the world Silicon Valley, the Southeast Asia, India, China, the United Kingdom, and beyond. At Seagate, we know that data is always in motion, alive, connected and we harness it to maximize human potential\nThe Head Analysis and Performance Group (HAPG), supporting read/write performance excellence across all products. We focus on driving yield improvement, root-cause analysis, spec optimization, and advanced analytics to ensure the highest performance and quality in slider manufacturing. Our work spans data analysis, machine learning, monitoring system development, and readiness for next-generation technologies\nAbout the role - you will:\nAs an AI Intern in the Read/Write Product Performance Korat Team, you will work with Product Engineers to develop GenAI/LLM prototypes that support read/write performance analysis and faster decision-making in production. You will work with real manufacturing data, including image data and structured, column-based datasets. Key Responsibilities\nSupport integration of AI models manufacturing data for faster insights.\nDevelop basic FastAPI APIs for model inference with vision models.\nAssist with web-based inference for AI vision models.\nBuild simple GenAI/LLM prototypes for automated reporting and anomaly explanation.\nAbout you:\nBachelor’s student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.\nBasic skills in Python, data processing, and API development.\nFamiliarity with ML/AI fundamentals.\nYour experience includes:\nProgramming Languages (Python, R, SQL, HiveQL).\nAI / Machine Learning (PyTorch, Tensorflow).\nLLM frameworks (Chainlits).\nData Analytics (Pandas, NumPy, SQL basics).\nData preprocessing and visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).\nComputer vision model development (YOLO11, Transfer Learning).\nLocation:\nKorat, Thailand\nOur Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives. Employees enjoy ample on-site parking, free shuttle vans and buses within the city of Korat, as well as transportation to and from Bangkok and Khon Kaen province on weekends. At work, you can grab a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks at one of our 24/7 on-site canteens or coffee shops.
