As a Data Science Intern, you will assist in data analysis, model development, and the generation of actionable insights that support business objectives.\nAbout you:\nAssist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources. \nConduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. \nDevelop and implement basic machine learning models and algorithms under the guidance of senior data scientists. \nCreate data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. \nParticipate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and continuous learning activities. \nYour experience includes:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. \nBasic understanding of data science principles and machine learning concepts. \nProficiency in programming languages such as Python. \nFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) is a plus. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets. \nExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences. \nExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. \nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. \nLocation:\nThe Shugart site (named after Seagate’s founder, Al Shugart) is a research and design center. Easily accessible from the One-North MRT Station, many employees choose to take mass transportation to work.
