Our team is one of the pioneers to adopt modern tools and engineering practices toward IT 4.0.\nAbout the role - you will:\nWork with experienced developers and a multi-site Agile team on applications used in manufacturing and R&D.\nSupport the InfoSec and Apps Transformation initiative across MES, RD, and Wafer Apps.\nBuild and improve APIs, web interfaces, databases, automation, tests, and application integrations.\nUse approved GenAI and agentic workflows to explore requirements, design solutions, generate code and tests, create documentation, and troubleshoot issues.\nReview AI-generated work for accuracy, security, maintainability, and production readiness.\nApply secure coding practices and support access control, vulnerability remediation, audit, and compliance activities.\nTurn ideas into working prototypes, demonstrate your work, and improve solutions through feedback.\nGain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, mentoring from experienced developers, global teamwork, and a portfolio-ready project with real business impact.\nAbout you:\nCurious about how software, security, and AI can solve real engineering and manufacturing challenges.\nComfortable with at least one technology such as Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, or .NET C#.\nFamiliar with web applications, REST APIs, databases, or Git through coursework, projects, hackathons, or internships.\nInterested in GenAI, AI agents, automated testing, or AI-assisted software engineering.\nHands-on, willing to experiment, and comfortable asking questions and learning from feedback.\nCollaborative, self-motivated, and able to communicate in English.\nYour experience includes:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience building a software, web, data, automation, or AI project through university, a hackathon, a personal portfolio, or an internship.\nExposure to manufacturing, R&D, MES, factory applications, or other enterprise application environments.\nAwareness of secure development, authentication, vulnerability management, monitoring, or system integration.\nHands-on use of automated testing, monitoring, logging, or GenAI-assisted development tools.\nLocation:\nOur Penang office is located in Suntech at Cybercity, easily accessible via public transportation.
