Seagate is the leader in enterprise and cloud storage solutions; 40% of the world’s data is stored on Seagate devices.\nAbout the role - you will:\nSeagate’s IT Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) organization is seeking an intern to optimize and continuously improve our business processes and projects. The intern will assist with IT Infrastructure team with the Kubernetes cluster operator role to automate the support activities, analyze and provide key insights to optimize the microservices environment for efficiency and better ROI.\nUnderstand the Kubernetes cluster operator role and find ways to optimize the supportability of this platform.\n\nOptimize the CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab runner, Argo CD and other tools\n\nAnalyze and optimize the monitoring and observability efforts using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix\n\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.\n\nWrite and maintain scripts and tools (mostly Python & Bash based scripting) to streamline processes and ensure operational efficiency.\n\nImprove internal tooling to streamline developer workflows and automate manual processes\n\nChampion reliability, security, and performance across our systems\n\nProduce documentation for tasks completed, according to established standards\n\nDemonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.\n\nAbout you:\nCurrently undertaking a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.\n\nProficiency with container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)\n\nScripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, or Go)\n\nKnowledge with CI/CD systems and practices\n\nUNIX and Linux system administration experience: ssh, monitoring processes, attaching storage, cleaning disk space, tailing logs, etc.\n\nGood understanding of Automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell\n\nA desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do things manually\n\nFamiliarity with tools for monitoring and system alerting\n\nProfessional and positive communication skills\n\nAbility to proactively identify and resolve issues.\n\nMust be comfortable with ambiguity and be a resourceful, savvy professional that is committed to finding solutions and making an impact.\n\nPrevious internship and/or project experience is a plus\n\nYour experience includes:\nKnowledgeable in Linux, Windows, and VMware infrastructure\n\nThis role requires working collaboratively, strong communication, heightened attention to detail, superb organization, and collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders across the globe.\n\nSelf-motivated, independent, and team player with strong analytical skills.\n\nLocation:\nKorat, Thailand\nOur Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
