We focus on building reliable, scalable, and efficient software while embracing modern development practices, including automation and AI-assisted development tools.\nAbout the role - you will:\nDevelop software that supports embedded product development, validation, automation, engineering tools, or data analysis. \nApply programming and engineering fundamentals to solve practical problems with guidance from experienced engineers. \nParticipate in design discussions, debugging, testing, code reviews, and documentation of technical work. \nCollaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver useful, maintainable code and communicate progress clearly. \nAbout you:\nYou have programming experience through coursework, projects, research, or earlier internships. \nYou are interested in embedded software, systems, automation, storage technology, or hardware/software interaction. \nYou are curious, collaborative, eager to learn, and able to communicate technical ideas clearly. \nYour experience includes:\nProgramming experience in C, C++, Rust, Python, or similar languages. \nExposure to embedded systems, operating systems, computer architecture, software tools, or test automation. \nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, or other software development workflows. \nExperience with scripting, version control, build systems, or debugging tools is a plus.\nYou are pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. \nLocation:\nLongmont, CO or Shakopee, MN\nOur Longmont product-design campus is nestled against the foothills with exceptional views of the Rocky Mountains. Seagate offers an on-site café with freshly sourced foods and specialty coffees, or if you prefer, drive to one of many restaurants just minutes away.\nThe estimated base wage range for this position is $30 - $35/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.
