Our team is one of the pioneers to adopt modern tools and engineering practices toward IT 4.0.\nAbout the role - you will:\nAs a GenAI Software Development Intern, you will work with experienced SOC developers to explore and build practical GenAI solutions that improve the efficiency of the SOC development lifecycle.\nYou will:\nExplore how GenAI and AI agents can improve SOC software development from requirements and design through coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.\nDevelop prototypes and AI-assisted solutions using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, embeddings, vector databases, and AI coding assistants.\nApply GenAI to improve code understanding, code generation, testing, debugging, technical documentation, and engineering knowledge retrieval.\nExplore ways to automate repetitive development tasks and make the SOC SDLC faster and more efficient.\nWork on real engineering use cases involving C#/.NET, SECS/GEM, and wafer equipment integration.\nTurn ideas into working prototypes, demonstrate your solutions, and continuously improve them based on engineering feedback.\nCollaborate with experienced developers and a multi-site Agile team while gaining hands-on exposure to real manufacturing software development.\nWhat You Will Gain\nHands-on experience applying GenAI to a real enterprise software development lifecycle.\nOpportunity to build AI agents and AI-assisted engineering solutions with real business impact.\nPractical experience combining software engineering, GenAI, and manufacturing technology.\nExposure to SOC development, SECS/GEM, and semiconductor equipment integration.\nMentorship from experienced developers and collaboration with a global engineering team.\nExperience helps shape how GenAI can transform the future of SOC software development.\nAbout you:\nWe are looking for someone who is:\nPassionate and curious about Generative AI, software engineering, and emerging technologies.\nInterested in exploring how AI can change the way software is designed, developed, tested, and maintained.\nComfortable with programming and willing to experiment with new AI technologies.\nInterested in C#, .NET, Python, web technologies, RAG, LangChain, graph databases, or agentic AI.\nFamiliar with web applications, REST APIs, databases, Git through coursework, projects, hackathons, or previous internships.\nHands-on, self-motivated, and comfortable learning through experimentation and feedback.\nA team player with good problem-solving and English communication skills.\nYour experience includes:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.\nExperience developing software, web, automation, data, or AI project through university coursework, hackathons, personal projects, or internships.\nBasic programming knowledge in C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.\nExposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software development.\nExperience with C#/.NET, Python, Angular, REST APIs, databases, Git, LangChain, vector databases, or graph databases.\nExperience using AI coding assistants or other GenAI development tools.\nExposure to automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, or secure software development.\nExposure to manufacturing systems, wafer equipment integration, SECS/GEM, MES, or enterprise applications.\nLocation:\nOur Penang office is located in Suntech at Cybercity, easily accessible via public transportation.
