We combine engineering expertise with practical design methods to support precision, reliability, and manufacturability throughout production.\nVision: To innovate and create best-in-class equipment and manufacturing technologies.\nMission:\nSupport Seagate's component and product roadmaps.\nImprove overall equipment efficiency.\nEnhance capital utilization and extend equipment life.\nProtect employee health and safety.\nAbout the role - you will:\nTooling & Equipment DesignDesign and improve jigs, fixtures, precision tooling, and automation equipment for manufacturing and assembly.\nCreate and revise 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications in accordance with engineering standards.\nApply design-for-manufacturability, reliability, ergonomics, and safety principles to assigned work.\n\nProject & Technical ContributionComplete assigned engineering projects and tasks with general guidance from senior engineers or project leads.\nReview technical requirements, analyze design options, and recommend practical solutions.\nParticipate in design reviews and complete engineering deliverables according to project requirements.\n\nAnalysis & ValidationPerform tolerance stack-up, basic stress, thermal, vibration, and motion analyses as required.\nSupport prototype development, testing, data collection, and validation of new tooling and equipment.\nTroubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective improvements.\n\nProcess & Manufacturing SupportWork with process engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure that tooling meets operational requirements.\nSupport engineering improvements that increase yield, reduce cycle time, and improve equipment reliability.\nMaintain and improve existing tooling and equipment, including sustaining and continuous improvement activities.\n\nInnovation & Technology AdvancementEvaluate materials, components, mechanisms, and automation technologies for tooling and equipment applications.\nContribute ideas and technical solutions that improve design quality, cost, and performance.\nFollow applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company policies.\n\nAbout you:\nProficiency in 3D CAD and engineering design tools, such as SolidWorks; experience with simulation tools is an advantage.\nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nKnowledge of machine design, precision components, machining processes, and assembly methods.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.\nAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nGood English communication skills.\nYour experience includes:\nA bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.\n Experience in relevant professional in mechanical design, tooling, automation, equipment design, or a related engineering field.\nLocation:\nKorat, Thailand\nOur Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. The team produces cloud-based storage equipment, ranging from individual storage components to finished drives. Employees benefit from ample on-site parking; free shuttle vans and buses within Korat; and weekend transportation to and from Bangkok and Khon Kaen Province.
