At Seagate, we know that data is always in motion, alive, connected-and we harness it in order to maximize human potential.\n The Equipment Design Engineering works on the machine equipment design to improve production productivity and machine efficiently.\nAbout the role - you will:\nMechanical development and basic electrical controls design for automated head stack assembly equipment.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and objectives.\nConceptualize and create detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks software, ensuring compliance with cleanroom control and best practices (EHS, ESD and contamination control).\nEstimating costs and scheduling requirements for projects.\nPrepare engineering projects to include specification, design, cost, equipment selection, design evaluation and planned maintenance programs.\nInitial generate and evaluate design prototypes, testing for functionality, durability, and safety.\nParticipate in design reviews and discussions, incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine and finalize designs.\nGenerate accurate and comprehensive documentation, including technical drawings bills of materials, design specifications, instruction, and service manual into Windchill system.\nCollaborate with the maintenance & process team, reviewing the prototypes and components to ensure they meet design requirements for official release.\nProvide technical guidance and solutions to factory teams, addressing complex design challenges, and troubleshooting issues.\nContinuous improvement on existing equipment for production line efficiency improvement; as well as develop new automation machine.\nMaintain technical documentation.\nReviewing new product design (DFM, Sanity check) on the head stack assembly equipment to ensure the equipment able to support new product build.\nRevise or new design for the equipment needed to support the new product launched and align with the product timeline.\nAbout you:\nTeamwork and self-motivated.\nFast learning capability.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to drive initiatives and influence.\nAbility to work alone as well as in a team environment.\nA collaborative attitude and a global mindset with an ability to work well with native and non-native English speakers.\nAble to participate in conference calls outside of regular local work hours.\nAnalytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking mindset.\nMust be able to manage own time and workload.\nInnovate to find solutions.\nYour experience includes:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.\nProficiency in SolidWorks software.\nFamiliarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).\nExperience with Mechanical design, including creating detailed designs, drawings, and prototypes.\nExperience in automation control devices including sensor, scanner, pneumatic cylinder, and electrical actuator.\nFamiliarity with vision hardware system design for part measurement and defect inspection.\nFamiliarity with GD&T and stack-up tolerance.\nBasic knowledge of statistical analysis for equipment qualification.\nLocation:\nKorat, Thailand\nOur Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees.
