We combine deep engineering expertise with advanced design practices to ensure high precision, reliability, and manufacturability at every stage of production.\nVision: To innovate and create best-in-class equipment and manufacturing technologies.\nMission:\nSupport Seagate's component and product roadmaps.\nImprove overall equipment efficiency.\nEnhance capital utilization and extend equipment life.\nProtect employee health and safety.\nAbout the role - you will:\nTooling & Equipment DesignLead the design of jigs, fixtures, precision tooling, and automation equipment for manufacturing and assembly.\nDevelop 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications that comply with engineering standards.\nOptimize designs for manufacturability, reliability, ergonomics, and safety.\n\nProject & Technical LeadershipTake ownership of projects from concept through implementation.\nProvide design guidance and technical expertise.\nLead design reviews, evaluate concepts, and approve engineering deliverables.\n\n Analysis & ValidationPerform engineering analyses, including finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance stack-up, stress, thermal, vibration, and motion analyses.\nOversee the development, testing, and validation of new tooling and equipment prototypes.\nTroubleshoot issues with existing designs and implement effective improvements.\n\nProcess & Manufacturing SupportCollaborate with process engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure that tooling meets operational needs.\nProvide engineering solutions to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and enhance equipment reliability.\nDrive continuous improvement in tooling performance and cost efficiency.\n\n Innovation & Technology AdvancementResearch new materials, precision mechanisms, and automation technologies to enhance tooling capabilities.\nContribute to the development of intellectual property (IP) and innovative solutions that create a competitive advantage.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.\n\nAbout you:\nAdvanced proficiency in engineering design and simulation tools, such as SolidWorks and ANSYS.\nStrong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nDeep knowledge of precision machining, automation, and assembly processes.\nStrong analytical skills, with hands-on experience in prototyping and testing.\nDemonstrated leadership ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.\nGood English communication skills.\nYour experience includes:\nA bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.\nExperience in mechanical design, including tooling, automation, or equipment design.\nLocation:\nKorat, Thailand\nOur Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. The team produces cloud-based storage equipment, ranging from individual storage components to finished drives. Employees benefit from ample on-site parking; free shuttle vans and buses within Korat; and weekend transportation to and from Bangkok and Khon Kaen Province.
