Working closely with global teams, they drive innovative hardware designs spanning PCB development, system integration, signal integrity, and product lifecycle execution from concept through production.\nAbout the role - you will:\nImport mechanical model information, e.g. DXF format.\nProduce PCB outlines and placement of components per constraint drawings developed by Mechanical Team, and/or layout concepts by the Electrical team and/or vendor design guidelines.\nRoute signals per layout design guide rules and DFM and DFT (Design for Manufacturability and Testability) rules.\nUnderstand design rules of very high speed (PCIe Gen6/7, FC 64/128G, SAS4, Ethernet 200/400G, DDR5-8000) and high current, low voltage noise sensitive DC power design concepts as they apply to a PCB design.\nPresent PCB design reviews.\nParticipate in peer reviews of other designs in the group.\nWork effectively within a multi-disciplinary design team.\nInteract with mechanical and electrical engineers in achieving highest quality designs.\nInteract with Manufacturing, Supply Base Management and PCB / Fab Material vendors.\nPCB Architecture & Design\nLead PCB designs through all phases of concept prototype, new product introduction and sustaining. Understand implementation and supporting PCB fab materials, manufacturing DFT and DFM.\nDesign complex multilayer PCBs supporting high-performance compute, storage, networking, and management functions.\nHave knowledge in schematic reading, capture, architecture definition, component selection, and board-level design activities for server and storage products.\nUnderstand robust power distribution networks (PDN) as they pertain to PCB design and high current low voltage DC regulation solutions.\nEnsure designs meet electrical, thermal, manufacturability, reliability, and cost objectives.\nHigh-Speed Signal Design\nDesign and develop constraints for high-speed interfaces including:PCI Express (Gen6/7 and beyond)\nSAS (12G/24G)\nSATA (6G)\nEthernet interfaces (10G/25G/40G/100G/400G)\nDDR4 and DDR5 memory interfaces\nHigh-speed backplane and SERDES-based interconnects\n\nPerform design reviews focused on:Controlled impedance implementation\nDifferential pair routing\nLength matching\nReturn path continuity\nCrosstalk mitigation\nVia optimization and stub reduction\nPower integrity and noise management\n\nChassis-Level Integration\nCollaborate with chassis, mechanical, and thermal teams to ensure successful integration within dense server and storage enclosures.\nEvaluate board placement, connector strategies, airflow constraints, serviceability requirements, and manufacturability.\nSupport architecture decisions that balance performance, reliability, cost, and mechanical constraints.\nDesign Reviews & Technical Leadership\nLead cross-functional engineering reviews.\nDevelop and maintain PCB design guidelines, best practices, and reusable design methodologies.\nMentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight to outsourced layout resources when applicable.\nReview external design deliverables to ensure adherence to product and company standards.\nManufacturing Support\nPartner with manufacturing, supplier quality, and NPI teams to support prototype builds and production ramp activities.\nInvestigate and resolve manufacturing, assembly, and field reliability issues.\nSupport DFM, DFA, and DFT initiatives.\nAbout you:\nHighly collaborative with cross-border teams.\nParticipate in peer reviews of other designs in the group.\nWork effectively within a multi-disciplinary design team.\nHighly adaptable, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nA proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.\nYour experience includes:\nExtensive experience utilizing Siemens Xpedition tools for the design, layout and routing of complex (up to 24 layers), high speed printed circuit boards\nProven experience designing boards for:Enterprise servers\nStorage systems\nNetworking equipment\nHigh-performance embedded platforms\n\nStrong expertise in:High-speed digital design\nSignal integrity fundamentals\nPower integrity fundamentals\nPCB stack-up development\nEMI/EMC mitigation\n\nExperience with modern ECAD design platforms such as:Siemens Xpedition\nCadence Allegro\nAltium Designer\nEquivalent enterprise-level ECAD tool\n\nKnowledge of DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, SAS, SATA, SERDES, and Ethernet technologies.\nExperience interpreting vendor reference designs, compliance requirements, and chipset design guides.\nStrong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.\nExperience with external storage systems, processors, micro controllers, bus interface and memory technologies.\nFamiliarity with BMC, management controllers, and platform management interfaces.\nExperience supporting SI/PI simulations using industry-standard tools.\nKnowledge of thermal design considerations for high-density systems.\nExperience working with ODMs, EMS providers, and external design partners.\nUnderstanding of firmware-hardware interactions and platform bring-up activities.\nExposure to lifecycle management, sustaining engineering, and field failure analysis.\nLocation:\nOur site in Pune is dynamic, both in our cutting-edge, innovative work, as well as our vibrant on-site food, and athletic and personal development opportunities for our employees.
