The team works closely with product development, process engineering, manufacturing, and factory test teams to translate test requirements into reliable equipment solutions.\nOur responsibilities include equipment development, modifications and upgrades, troubleshooting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of media test equipment performance, reliability, safety, and manufacturability.\nAbout the role - you will:\nApply mechanical, mechatronics, and equipment engineering principles to develop and support test equipment used in engineering and manufacturing environments.\nDesign, modify, and support mechanical and electromechanical equipment, assemblies, and fixtures.\nParticipate in equipment projects from requirements definition and concept development through design, integration, qualification, deployment, and sustaining support.\nCreate and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, assemblies, and equipment documentation using SolidWorks.\nApply engineering fundamentals, including GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, and component selection, to equipment designs.\nPerform hands-on assembly, installation, alignment, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair, and validation of mechanical and electromechanical systems.\nTroubleshoot equipment issues using structured engineering and root-cause analysis methods and implement effective corrective actions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, supplier, and factory teams to resolve equipment and process issues.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, procedures, engineering reports, and design-change documentation.\nAbout you:\nYou are a hands-on engineer who enjoys developing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electromechanical equipment. You combine engineering fundamentals with practical problem-solving skills and work effectively in a collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment.\nStrong mechanical and/or mechatronics engineering fundamentals.\nUnderstanding of mechanical design and machine operating principles.\nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nAbility to assemble, disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical assemblies.\nAbility to analyze equipment problems and systematically identify root causes.\nStrong communication skills\nAbility to work independently and with cross-functional teams to manage and execute assigned engineering tasks\nYour experience includes:\nProficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.\nExperience working with mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.\nUnderstanding of engineering documentation, drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerances, and design practices.\nExperience troubleshooting mechanical or electromechanical systems.\nAbility to dismantle and assemble mechanical assemblies\nBachelor’s degree in engineering related field (i.e. Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials) and 2+ years of experience or master’s degree in the same and 0 years’ experience \nYou might also have:\nFamiliarity with LabVIEW, PLC programming, or equipment-control software is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of servo/stepper motors, motor drives, motion controllers, encoders, sensors, and actuators.\nLocation:\nOur Gold LEED-certified Fremont product-design campus drives innovation, bringing together a diverse set of engineering, design, operations, support and administrative teams.
