This position will be located in Seagate’s Bloomington, MN facility.\nAbout the role - you will:\nResponsibilities of the Metrology Intern will include:\nDevelop technical understanding of one or more metrology tools used in the wafer manufacturing process. \nPerform metrology recipe updates, gage studies & equipment improvement projects to support metrology improvements. This will include process-based experiments, data collection and analysis. \nDevelop software tools as needed to complete projects and assist metrology engineers. \nAbout you:\nCan effectively discuss technical concepts in both written and verbal communication. \nMust be highly motivated and self-directed. \nYour experience includes:\nPractical lab experience \nStatistics and Data Analysis experience using R, Excel, JMP or Python. \nMay have experience with thin film characterization or deposition. \nMay have experience with measurement and/or characterization techniques. \nMay have experience with image processing and/or defect detection.\nYou are working on a Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics and returning for classes in Fall 2027. \nLocation:\nOur Normandale campus spans two suburbs, Edina and Bloomington, and serves as the Recording Head development and manufacturing arm of Seagate. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan. Seagate also offers Interns 12 paid holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.
