Responsibilities will include commissioning and troubleshooting activities alongside equipment vendors and our engineering team. Once operational, technicians will be responsible for the preventative and predictive maintenance of equipment, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment in a metals manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of the electrical systems that support our sites equipment including vacuum, compression, hydraulic, mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic systems and furnace power supply units, as well as the ability to perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.\nWhat you'll do\nAssistintheinitialbuildingof the facilityand installation of equipment. \nPerform preventive, predictive,and corrective maintenance on metalmanufacturingmachineryincludingfurnaces and associated downstream processing machines. \nTroubleshoot and repairequipment within the facilitywith a focus onissues related toelectrical, controls, and roboticfaults and failures. \nRespond to machine breakdowns and unplanned downtime ina timelyand efficient manner to minimize production delays. \nConduct routine inspections to ensure equipment isoperatingat peak performance andmeetsafety standards. \nMaintainaccuratemaintenance logs, including details of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task. \nCollaborate with productionand engineering teamstosolve issues thatimpactsafety, ergonomics, reliability,or production uptime. \nAssistin equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications as needed. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and company policies. \nTroubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical components, including motors, sensors,robots, automation systems,and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). \nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nTechnical degree or certification preferredbut notrequired. \nProven experienceof3+ years in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting. \nStrong knowledge ofelectrical systemsand their interactions withmechanical,hydraulic,vacuum, compressor,and pneumatic systems, PLCs, and automation platforms. \nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. \nStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. \nProficient with hand tools, power tools,and diagnostic equipment. \nFamiliarity with preventiveand predictivemaintenance practices and techniques. \nAbility to work well independently and as part ofthe engineering and production teams. \nStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. \nGood communicationskills and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams. \nFlexibility to work on rotating shifts, weekends, oron callwhenrequired. \nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. \nAbility to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. \nAbility to work in noisy, hot, or potentially hazardous environments (withappropriate PPE). \nComfortable working with heavy machinery and
