But here is a taste of the things you’ll spend most of your time and energy on.\nDesign machine and assemble fixtures, as well as workholding and tooling, across multiple production areas \nDocument and maintain Standard Work Instructions for production processes \nImprove factory layouts and material flow using 5S and Lean methodologies \nCreate, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for turning and grinding processes \nParticipate in design-for-manufacturing reviews, applying your engineering expertise to improve product design and manufacturability \nProvide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams, with a focus on line-down troubleshooting, process improvement, and MES system support \nAnalyze MES production and warranty data to identify and drive continuous improvement actions \nRecord process cycle times using MOST Analysis, and track and analyze production OEE metrics \nWHAT YOU’LL BRING\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field \nExperience\n1-4 years of engineering experience in a technical/manufacturing environment \nSkilled at designing machine and assembly fixtures, workholding, and tooling solutions \nStrong GD&T knowledge \nExperience creating and maintaining Standard Work Instructions and production Control Plans \nWorking knowledge of Six Sigma, 5S, Lean manufacturing, or similar improvement frameworks \nStrong communication, prioritization, and coordination skills, with a detail-oriented mindset focused on driving closure and accountability \nPrograms, Platforms & Technical Languages \nProficient in 3D CAD/CAM, including creating and interpreting engineering drawings \nFamiliar with CNC machines and controls (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar) \nCertifications and Licenses\nNone required \nPhysical Abilities\nAbility to work hands-on with the product on the shop floor, with or without reasonable accommodation (it’s going to get dirty sometimes!) \nBonus Points If You Check These Boxes \nExperience bringing new products into production \nPractical knowledge of material flow and manufacturing layout planning \nData analysis skills, including an understanding of OEE \nSix Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification \nAbility to read and write G-code for CNC turning and grinding machines \nAbility to read CMM inspection reports and analyze results against drawing specifications \nWHERE YOU'LL WORK\nThis is an onsite role based at our Leesport, PA facility. \nWe’ll provide on-the-job training to help you become the Seakeeper expert. \nWHO YOU'LL WORK WITH\nYou’ll report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, also based in Leesport, PA, and join a Manufacturing Engineering team that connects the different pieces of our manufacturing process and solves problems to keep production running smoothly.
