You will be performing software development, hardware integration, cybersecurity engineering, and mission support in mostly unclassified spaces in support of our warfighters.\nYou will be part of the development team responsible for engineering an automation framework, written primarily in Ansible and Python, that deploys Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) hunt kits to physical hardware. You will develop custom Ansible modules, roles, and collections that automate networking, server hardware, operating systems, containers, and software, building a cohesive and integrated environment for cyber defenders.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSupport the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections to automate the deployment of Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) hunt kits.\nWrite custom Ansible modules and plugins in Python to extend automation where existing modules fall short.\nAutomate the setup and configuration of physical hardware and network appliances, such as servers, switches, routers, and firewalls, using Ansible.\nAutomate the deployment and configuration of software on Linux systems, and troubleshoot and fix issues in the automation code.\nWrite unit, functional, and integration tests for automation code and participate in code reviews.\nCollaborate with software development teams across the company to create highly parameterized Ansible that aligns the software product stack.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered\n2+ years of professional experience in software development, automation engineering, or a related role\nExperience writing Python and Bash, with exposure to software or hardware automation\nUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git)\nExperience configuring physical hardware (Routers, Switches, Servers)\nExperience with RHEL-based Linux distributions (RHEL, Rocky, Oracle) and the Linux command-line interface (CLI)\nFamiliarity with virtualization and container platforms (e.g., VMware, Kubernetes, Docker/Podman)\nStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and maintain engineering processes and procedures\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWorking knowledge of Ansible playbooks and roles\nProfessional experience developing custom Ansible modules, plugins, or collections\nExperience supporting Defensive Cyber Operations within Service Cyber Command elements or other U.S. Government organizations\nExperience with defensive cyber tools such as Security Onion, Splunk, Elastic, Zeek, pfSense, and related platforms\nAnsible certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation)\nCompTIA Linux+\nSecret security clearance or ability to get it is preferred\nSealing Technologies is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected status.
