This position will report to the Director of Engineering in Wooster, Ohio.\n\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Facilities Manager is responsible for the operational integrity and safety of a building’s physical infrastructure. This position oversees a wide range of services to ensure the work environment is efficient, secure, and properly maintained for all occupants. The role combines strategic planning with daily operational oversight to support the organization’s core functions. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement—contributes to the organization’s overall efficiency and productivity.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDevelop and manage the annual facilities budget, including forecasting expenses for maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.\nOversee service contracts and vendor relationships for building maintenance, including security, cleaning, and landscaping services.\nImplement and direct a preventive maintenance program to ensure the continuous operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.\nConduct regular inspections to ensure the facility complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.\nManage all space allocation and planning, including coordinating office moves, furniture installations, and departmental reconfigurations.\nLead facility-related projects, such as renovations and equipment upgrades, by managing timelines, budgets, and contractor performance.\nMonitor utility consumption and implement energy management programs to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in facility management, construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field\n5+ years in industrial facilities management\nStrong leadership and management abilities\nStrong collaboration with maintenance and production teams\nExcellent problem solving and organizational skills\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nCertification in such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP)\nFamiliarity with calendering, polymer or web-handling processes\nExperience training technicians or operators on control systems\n\nCOMPETENCIES \nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should be aligned with our company values and demonstrate the following competencies:\nDo What’s Right\nSafety: Safety is our priority and everyone’s responsibility.
