Summary: The Assistant Cost Controller will support procurement activities, supplier management, budget monitoring, cost control and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nSource, evaluate and conduct due diligence on suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality and compliance.\n\nNegotiate supplier terms, prepare purchase orders and maintain an approved supplier database.\n\nMonitor supplier performance, contractual obligations and QHSE compliance.\n\nVerify supplier invoices against approved purchase orders and delivery documentation.\n\nAssist with supplier reconciliations and monitor outstanding invoices and payment timelines.\n\nMonitor procurement expenditure and commitments against approved budgets, identifying and escalating potential overruns.\n\nPrepare weekly and monthly cost-control, budget-versus-actual and procurement expenditure reports.\n\nSupport budget preparation, forecasting and implementation of cost-saving initiatives.\n\nMonitor inventory levels, particularly PPE and ensure proper procurement and accounting documentation.\n\nSupport month-end activities, financial analysis and audit requirements.\n\nQualifications, Skills and Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.\n\nMinimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience .\n\nProficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage or QuickBooks.\n\nStrong Excel, analytical, budgeting and reporting skills.\n\nGood understanding of procurement
