ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews have transformed how people discover information. Brands now need to measure and optimise their visibility across all of the major AI search engines.\nWe help companies grow their organic presence across SEO, AEO, and GEO through a fully agentic platform that identifies opportunities, recommends actions, and automates improvements with Searchable’s AI agent. We’re at $5M ARR in just 10 months, backed by top angels and VCs, and building the team that will define the category.\nWe’re office-based five days a week near London Bridge. If you thrive in a startup culture where people put in hours because they love solving hard problems and taking radical ownership, you'll fit right in.\nThe Role\nJoin a small but rapidly growing engineering team, working alongside founders who’ve scaled companies before. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll shape the architecture, the stack, and the standards that the engineers after you inherit.\nWhat that looks like day to day:\nOwn features end to end, from data model to the interface a customer sees\n\nDesign systems that process large volumes of AI-search interactions reliably\n\nShip weekly and iterate on real usage, not quarterly plans\n\nMake technical calls that shape product direction, not just implement specs\n\nHelp hire and mentor as the team grows\n\nHow we think about tech: This is product engineering - you’ll take features from concept to delivery, not just implement tickets. We’re pragmatic: right tool for the right job approach. You’ll work across the full stack, and lean on your prior experience scaling backend and distributed systems.\nWhat we're looking for\nYou have several years shipping production software and are happy across the full stack, experience scaling backend and distributed systems, and/or hands-on experience building production-grade agentic systems\n\nYou have strong opinions on system design, loosely held: you’ll argue your corner, then follow the evidence\n\nYou’re comfortable with ambiguity and turn vague problems into shipped features\n\nYou take ownership beyond your immediate remit\n\nYou care about craft: testing, readability, reliability and services that outlive their first version\n\nYou want to build something that changes how marketing teams work, and you want a real stake in the outcome\n\nWhat you can expect from us\nSalary: Competitive (DOE)\n\nMeaningful early-stage equity pre Series A\n\n25 days' holiday plus bank holidays\n\nEnhanced salary sacrifice pension\n\nWorkplace nursery scheme\n\nMonthly fitness and wellbeing reimbursement\n\nFlexibility in hours - around life and family commitments","description_format":"text","description_chars":2713,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Equity","Workplace nursery"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial Intelligence","LLM & Generative AI","AI Search"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-11T15:56:34Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker","cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-14T06:20:30+00:00","sources":["UK Home Office: register of licensed sponsors (workers)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":29,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.811,"p_room":0.36,"age_days":102,"expected_fill_days":61,"reasons":["conf:1","win:tail","crowd:"],"computed_at":"2026-10-14T06:34:16Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/searchable-senior-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/searchable-senior-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-15T05:21:12Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":7766,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-16T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":687326},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=687326"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fsearchable-senior-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fsearchable-senior-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fsearchable-senior-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/searchable-senior-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fsearchable-senior-engineer"}]}
