Details\nMonday through Friday\n\nRotating shifts:\n\n7am - 3:30pm\n\n8am - 4:30pm\n\n9am - 5:30pm\n\nKey Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job\nPerforms and validates all cleaning of dental instruments using SEARHC policies and procedure, manufacturers’ instructions for use guidelines, and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AMMI) guidelines.\nResponsible for all steps necessary for decontamination, packaging, and sterilization of dental instruments.\n\nResponsible for disinfection of dental equipment that cannot be sterilized.\n\nCompletely and thoroughly dissembles dental instruments to ensure the removal of any debris, surgical soil and bio-burdens prior to sterilization or high level disinfection.\n\nPerforms multi-step procedures to effectively reprocess various dental instruments.\n\nPerforms and validates all cleaning of dental instruments using SEARHC policies and procedure, manufacturers’ instructions for use guidelines, and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AMMI) guidelines.\n\nMaintains records for all sterilization procedures that are processed including interpretation of all biological monitoring, validation of monitoring results, and quality assurance checks to ensure sterilization parameters are met.\n\nEffectively communicates with dental providers and dental staff to problem solve in the event of an instrument shortage and the need to substitute and/or offer alternatives.\n\nVerifies that equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and removes defective equipment.\n\nShows competency in the maintenance of equipment by way of demonstration and continuing education.\n\nOther Functions\nMaintains a clean and organized workstation.\n\nAssists in the training and certification of members of the team on SEARHC sterilization process.\n\nAdditional Details:\nEducation, Certifications, and Licenses Required\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nBasic Life Support within 3 months of hire.\n\nClinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years\n\nExperience Required\n1-2 years of dental or medical clinic experience preferred.\n\nKnowledge of\nWorking knowledge of Infection Control\n\nSkills in\nStrong oral & written communication skills\n\nTask and detail oriented\n\nSelf-Motivated\n\nOwnership of project\n\nAdvanced levels of hand & eye coordination skills\n\nWorking level of organizational skills\n\nAbility to\nCommunicate
