We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.\nKey Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job\nAssesses patient to determine proper procedure then draws blood.\n\nDemonstrates advanced proficiency in newborn/ infant heel-sticks; child and adult finger-sticks; newborn, infant, child, and adult venipuncture.\n\nIdentifies and resolves problems appropriately during the specimen labeling process.\n\nProvides clerical and technical support to the laboratory of the SEARHC Medical Facilities.\n\nAnswers incoming phone calls and routes callers to appropriate department or personnel.\n\nProvides customer services to physicians, nurses, and others contacting the laboratory.\n\nAnswers questions about laboratory processes, services available and basic technical issues.\n\nCompletes chain-of-custody drug collections\n\nAssists in specimen processing.\n\nEvaluates specimens for integrity, verifies correct labeling and paperwork, and resolves discrepancies with specimen documentation as they occur.\n\nAssists with processing incoming specimens.\n\nDistributes specimens to assigned areas.\n\nAssists in laboratory organization, records maintenance, reception, scheduling, and general duties to facilitate office administration.\n\nMaintains department records and ensures completeness of files.\n\nUpdates, distributes and archives productivity reports.\n\nSends, receives and distributes lab results.\n\nMaintains, orders and stocks office and technical supplies.\n\nPerforms waived testing.\n\nOther Functions\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAdditional Details:\nEducation, Certifications, and Licenses Required\nA high school diploma or GED - required\n\nPhlebotomy Certification - required within 1 year of hire.\n\nClinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every 3 years\n\nExperience Required\n2 years of phlebotomy experience -
