This position is responsible for ensuring fleet vehicles are operated safely, maintained appropriately, and utilized efficiently to support organizational operations across the consortium. The Fleet Manager develops and monitors fleet budgets, manages vendor relationships, oversees fleet-related policies and procedures, and supervises assigned staff. The position promotes regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and safe transportation resources for employees and organizational programs.SEARHCis a non-profit health consortium which serves the health interests of the residents of Southeast Alaska. Operations\nDirects, develops, and manages the operation of the fleet program.\n\nOversees fleet vehicle acquisition, assignment,utilization, maintenance, and replacement planning.\n\nEnsures efficient use of all SEARHC fleet vehicles.\n\nMonitors vehicle condition, safety, and maintenance requirements.\n\nEstablishes preventive maintenance schedules and vehicle inspection programs.\n\nMaintains vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance compliance.\n\nTracks fleet performance,utilization, maintenance costs, fuel usage, and vehicle lifecycle metrics.\n\nInvestigatesvehicle incidents and implements corrective actions as needed.\n\nEnsures compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.\n\nFinancial and Administrative Management\nDevelops and manages the fleet operating budget.\n\nReviews and approves fleet-related expenditures and purchase card transactions.\n\nPurchasesfleet-related equipment, supplies, services, and maintenance support within budget parameters.\n\nManages vendor and contractor relationships, including maintenance providers, vehicle suppliers, and fleet service vendors.\n\nDevelops, implements, andmaintainsfleet policies, procedures, and operational standards.\n\nLeadership and Supervision\nProvides leadership, training, work direction, coaching, and performance management for assigned staff.\n\nPromotes a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.\n\nCollaborates with operational leaders to ensure fleet resources support organizational needs.\n\nOther Functions\nPerforms periodic audits of fleet records and vehicle documentation.\n\nParticipates in long-range fleet planning and capital replacement initiatives.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation and Experience\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n\nFive years of progressively responsible experience in fleet management, transportation operations,logistics, facilities support, or a related field.\n\nThree years of supervisory or lead experience.\n\nPreferred\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Logistics, Public Administration, or relatedfield.\n\nExperience managing large or geographically dispersed fleet operations.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nKnowledge Of:\nFleet management principles and best practices.\n\nVehicle maintenance programs and lifecycle management.\n\nFleet safety programs and risk management.\n\nBudget development andfinancial management.\n\nApplicable federal, state, and local vehicle regulations.\n\nSkills In:\nFleet analytics and operational reporting.\n\nVendor and contract management.\n\nBudget oversight and cost control.\n\nProblem solving and process improvement.\n\nWritten and verbal communication.\n\nAbility To:\nLead and develop staff.\n\nAnalyze fleetutilizationand operational performance data.\n\nExercise independent judgment and decision-making.\n\nManage multiple priorities in a geographically dispersed environment.\n\nUse fleet management software and Microsoft Office
