EssentialFunctionsand Accountabilitiesof the Job\nProvide proactive leadership and guidance on interpretation of human resource policy to ensure consistency of practice throughout the Consortium.\n\nWork with human resources staff and department leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws.\n\nConsult with leadership team to provide human resource guidance and navigation on departmental and organizational issues when appropriate.\n\nConduct effective, thorough, and objective fact-finding investigations, where appropriate, to help achieve closure on employee relations issues.\n\nProvide day-to-day leadership and support to department leadership regardingperformance management, to include coaching, counseling, employee development and corrective action as required.\n\nWork closely with departmental leadership and employees to foster positive working relationships, and to increase employee engagement and retention.\n\nEnsure fair treatment and implementation of SEARHC human resource policies for all staff.\n\nPartner with the Learning & Development staff members to help facilitateand/or provide training/education for all staff (which may include onboarding activities, customer service and/or supervisory training).\n\nAssess and anticipatedepartmental and organizational human resource-related needs.\n\nRecommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to foster continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of human resource department process and services provided.\n\nServe as a human resource department team member, working together to achieve both human resources and Consortium strategic initiatives.\n\nOther related duties as requiredand assigned.\n\nEducation, Certifications, and Licenses Required\nBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Sociology,or related field - required.\n\nRelevant professional experience may be substituted for degree/education on a year-for-year basis.\n\nWork towards obtaining a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) preferred; PHR or an equivalent certification is desiredwithin 3 years of date of hire.\n\nExperience Required\n3-5years of human resources experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.\n\nRelevant education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.\n\nCompetencies\nHigh ethical standards with sound judgment and professional integrity.\n\nAdaptable, collaborative, and flexible leadership style with a ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization, influencing positive and effective outcomes.\n\nAnalytical, verbal, interpersonal,and written communication skills (including active listening).\n\nPresentation and facilitation skills.\n\nAbility to\nBe flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels, a team player with the human resources department and the consortium.\n\nIndependently troubleshoot and problem-solve issues using a working knowledge of current policies and practices of the consortium.\n\nResearch, analyze, and resolve allegations,
