This is a unique opportunity that will provide you with exposure to marine mechanical, structural, and electrical systems from the design and concept preparation phases. You will work closely with the ILS Sustainment and Provisioning Lead and respective ILS Project Engineers to review and verify equipment Part Numbers, Tag Numbers, and related technical data for integrating eShare and Aras PLM.\nNote: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.\nWhat you’ll do\nAssist in the implementation of a state-of-the-art 3D viewing tool, Cadmatic eShare, by assisting in the development of an integration between eShare and the shipyards PLM system. \nParticipating in meetings with various internal stakeholders from the following departments: Engineering Services,In Service Support (ISS), Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Information Technology (IT).\nPerform analysis of the data being integrated between eShare and PLM to ensure alignment and quality. Contact vendors/stakeholders to investigate and rectify any gaps in data quality. \nReview and verification of alignment between Equipment Part Numbers, Tag Numbers, and Technical Documentation. \nDetermine which technical documentation (System Diagrams, Production Drawings, Vendor Specifications, etc.) from PLM will be linked to eShare. \nHelp on linking Cadmatic eShare and the PLM system\nWhat you’ll bring\nEnrolled in a 2nd or 3rd year Naval, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering degree program. \nInterested students should have a passion for shipbuilding and be interested in implementing Engineering concepts within a production environment. \nStudents must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial setting. \nStrong communication, interpersonal and organization skills. \nKnowledge of 3D Cad software (AutoCAD, Ship Constructor, and Cadmatic.) will be asset\nDemonstrated Interest in programming and software development. \nFamiliarity with PLM / PDM systems. will be asset\nDemonstrated programming skills in the following languages: C, C#, SQL, JavaScript and Python. \nFamiliar with various power platform tools including: Powerbi, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
