This role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network equipment, wireless systems, and structured cabling. The successful candidate will spend significant time onsite performing network diagnostics, resolving connectivity issues, supporting infrastructure projects, and ensuring reliable network operations.\nNote: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.\nWhat you’ll do\nProvide onsite support for network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related equipment. \nPerform hands-on troubleshooting of network connectivity issues in offices, workshops, industrial facilities, and yard environments. \nTroubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and VoIP issues. \nSupport network equipment deployments, upgrades, relocations, and replacements. \nConduct site surveys to assess network coverage, cabling requirements, and infrastructure needs. \nRack, stack, and cable network equipment in telecommunications rooms and data closets. \nMonitor network performance and respond to outages, incidents, and service requests. \nCollaborate with contractors, vendors, electricians, and internal teams on infrastructure projects. \nMaintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, cable records, and asset inventories. \nTravel between facilities, yards, and project sites to provide technical support and troubleshooting. \nParticipate in scheduled maintenance windows and occasional after-hours support when required. \nWhat you’ll bring\nDiploma or certification in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field. \n2+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments. \nStrong hands-on experience with network cabling, patch panels, cable testing, and equipment installation. \nExperience troubleshooting Cisco, or similar networking platforms. \nSolid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, and wireless networking. \nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. \nAbility to work independently in both office and field environments. \nExcellent communication and customer service skills. \nValid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple worksites. \nCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification considered an asset.\nFamiliarity with network monitoring and management tools. \nExperience with cloud networking technologies such as Microsoft Azure. \nWhy you’ll love working here\nThis is a full-time, permanent position. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
