This role requires a collaborative leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast paced industrial environment.\nNote: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead the execution of operational and capital projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and organizational priorities.\nDevelop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies while proactively identifying risks and mitigation measures.\nCoordinate with internal departments, contractors, consultants, and external partners to deliver projects safely and efficiently.\nOversee facility upgrades, infrastructure improvements, equipment installations, and operational enhancement initiatives with minimal impact on day to day activities.\nMonitor project performance, including cost, schedule, quality, and scope, and provide regular updates to leadership.\nDrive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational reliability.\nSupport long term capital planning by contributing to investment strategies and future project roadmaps.\nEnsure compliance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and company policies throughout project execution.\nEvaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned to improve future delivery practices.\nFoster strong relationships with stakeholders across operations, engineering, maintenance, procurement, and leadership teams.\nLead multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to ensure accountability, collaboration, and successful project delivery.\nWhat you’ll bring\nPost-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPMP certification or equivalent project management credentials are considered an asset.\nEligibility to meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program requirements and obtain Reliability clearance.\nMinimum 6-10 years of experience managing capital/infrastructure projects in industrial, or manufacturing environments.\nDemonstrated experience leading complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.\nStrong understanding of operational planning, capital investment processes, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.\nExperience coordinating contractors, technical specialists, and cross functional teams.\nKnowledge of facility systems, industrial equipment, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build consensus.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools such as Smartsheet or similar platforms.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and business outcomes.\nWhy you’ll love working here\nThis is a full-time, permanent position. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity.
